Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for her pioneering the science of child eyewitness memories and utilizing child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers she has received grants from numerous sources and been recognized with numerous national and international awards. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the world regarding policies and research on child abuse in the justice system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of numerous professional associations, including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development as well as Practice Division of the American Psychological Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
