Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar is the American and British sitarist. She was the first and first woman to receive the British House of Commons Shield she has had nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian origin to perform live on stage and also serve as a presenter at the award ceremony. Anoushka Shakar is a promising young emerging star on the Indian Sitar is Anoushka. She is Ravi Shankar's pupil, and the daughter. Born in London in 1982. She began her life by hopping back and forth from London in London and New Delhi. At the age of 13 when her first performance was in New Delhi took place. When she moved to Encinitas CA in 1999 she received a high-school degree. Anouskha's career as a musician and performer is remarkable, even at her young age. She has been performing with her father in the stage for a long time. In 1998 she released her debut self-titled album Anourag. Her Grammy-nominated Live At Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. Apart from performing in many of the biggest venues and venues, she also has an extensive stage presence. Anoushka Shankar's career is not restricted to just the music industry. In 2002 she published an autobiography titled Bapi The love of My Live this is an illustrated biography that is a honor to her late father Ravi Shankar. Also, she appeared in the film "Dance Like a Man" in 2003. Her role was a Bharat Nayam dancer on Dance Like a Man. Her career continues to grow and she'll continue to achieve great success in the near future. Anoushka shankar is an English born musician who spent her early years in London, Delhi and California. Anoushka started her music studies at the age of nine. A few years later she played her first music debut with the sitar Delhi at her father's 75th birthday celebration. Anoushka has gained lots of experience touring across the globe with her father. She performed in Carnegie Hall in her teenage time, and also recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. She was the first woman to receive the House of Commons Shield, given by the British Parliament in recognition of her musical talent and artistic ability within the Asian Arts.
